02 / The founder’s story
Wallace Robinson
Founder & President
“But I decided that their deaths would not be the end of their story.”
My name is Wallace Robinson, and FitNow Foundation didn't come from a business plan. It came from my children.
I created FitNow Foundation in memory of my daughter, Dominique Charmaine Robinson, and my son, Wallace Robinson Jr. Both of my children struggled with addiction, and both lost their lives to fentanyl—19 months apart.
Dominique was 35 years old. She was a poet who loved to write and admired Maya Angelou. She worked at Starbucks, had a talent for carpentry, cared about other people, and had a heart for helping others. She fought addiction and went through more than ten treatment centers trying to find a way forward.
My son Wallace Jr. was 38 years old. He was my oldest child—an electronics whiz who loved computers, computer games, and rebuilding computers. He was intelligent, outspoken, loved people, and had so much more to give.
Losing both of my children changed my life forever.
But I decided that their deaths would not be the end of their story.
Their lives became the reason I had to do something.
FitNow Foundation was created to educate people about fentanyl and substance-use harm, help families find resources, prevent unnecessary deaths, connect people with help, and bring communities together to fight this crisis.
I know what it feels like to lose a child. I know what addiction can do to a family. And I know how badly families need someone to stand beside them when they are hurting and searching for answers.
My goal is to turn our pain into purpose.
I want FitNow Foundation to reach families before another tragedy happens. I want us to educate our children early, support people struggling with addiction, strengthen families, and give people hope.
I want FitNow to grow into an organization that saves lives—not just in my community, but across America and eventually around the world.
Dominique and Wallace Jr. will always be part of this mission.
Their memory is part of where FitNow began.
Saving lives is where FitNow is going.
Always part of our mission
A caring heart, a love of writing, and a gift for helping others.
Intelligent, outspoken, and full of possibility. A life with so much more to give.
